Roads and Traffic Congestions:  Mr.Atal Bihari Vajpayee's vision was to create an India which would feel proud of its wide lanes and world class road network. But over the past few years, successive governments have not paid any attention to this important aspect resulting in its deteriorating conditions. All of us are observing this aspect during our daily commute. We are taking up the issue of roads with the concerned authorities and hope some positive developments in this area will take place.


Security: It seems that the hooligans, goons, anti-social elements have taken freely to the city of Delhi and instances of kidnapping, theft, dacoity, rape, murder are being reported on a daily basis and our constituency does not remain unaffected by this serious problem. These instances have caused the people to live with a constant feeling of fear, insecurity and terror. Talks have been going on with officials and police department to increase the security in the constituency so that these untoward incidents could be prevented from taking place. We will also have the RWAs work towards putting more security guards within each colony.

Public Transport: The past few years has seen a gradual and systematic decrease in the public transport within our constituency. This has added to the sufferings of the people especially the poor, students and senior citizens for whom public transport is their day to day lifeline. They have been forced to pay thru their noses to use autos/private transport or they have been forced to walk for several miles to reach their destination. Our team has started looking into this issue so that we can address the highest authorities to get the public transport back on the road much to the comfort of the people of the constituency.

Water: Our constituency has got a step motherly treatment as far as continuous supply of water is concerned. As the area is basically rocky groundwater is very deep and with the non-linking of water to the main reservoirs, the people of our areas face acute shortage of water. The apathy of Delhi Government towards this issue can be seen from the lack of regular supply of water thru water tanker. We are taking up this issue very seriously with the local government so that a solution can be found to this basic need of every human being.

Community Centre / Sports Facilities / Parks: In today's age when humans have transformed each available sq.inch of space into a concrete hub - malls, offices etc.- it is deeply felt that some land should be left alone for the community to use for its social, recreational and health purposes. Therefore the need for community centers, sports facilities and parks. We face two situations when talking about these. Firstly either they are not present and Secondly if they are present then in most case their conditions are very bad and sad. Efforts are on to improve their conditions if they are already present in any colony. Efforts are also on to build these in those colonies where they are not present. A case in this aspect is the coming up of the Millennium park coming up in Vasant Kunj.

Medical Facilities: With a large constituency like ours we have rural and urban areas having young and old people staying in it. But unfortunately the lack of proper medical facilities has always plagued our area. one hand the government has not bothered to set up any major hospital in our area and on the other hand the private sector also does not deem it profitable to open one here. This has resulted in people traveling long distances to get themselves treated in hospitals of repute or trust.
